Earth HourFriday 28th of March the Institute of Management Technology Dubai students observed Earth Hour on campus, with all lights out – forming a human pattern of the 60+ Earth Hour logo using only their mobile phone torch lights. Earth Hour was marked at IMT Dubai by a series of quizzes, painting competitions and discussions to generate ideas on making the world a greener place.

“This initiative organized by our students put IMT on the green map, as they lit the 60+ Earth Hour logo in the campus courtyard” commented Dr. Cedwyn Fernandes, CEO of IMT Dubai. “With great enthusiasm our students created inspirational paintings, and presented great ideas on making the world a greener place”.

Earth Hour is a worldwide movement for the planet organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The event is held worldwide annually encouraging individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the last Saturday in March, as a symbol for their commitment to the planet.
