Institute of Management Technology Dubai signed a collaboration agreement with the Malaysian Institute of Supply Chain Innovation a part of the MIT Global Scale Network.
The MIT Global Scale Network The MIT Global SCALE (Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence) Network is an international alliance of leading-edge research and education centers, dedicated to the development and dissemination of global innovation in supply chain and logistics. The Global SCALE Network consists of MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics in Boston USA, the Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) in Zaragoza, Spain, the Center for Latin American Logistics Innovation (CLI) in Bogotá, Colombia and the Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (MISI) in Shah Alam, Malaysia.
The collaboration agreement includes exchange of faculty and research staff, joint research programs and projects, internships for students, faculty exchange and training programs and workshops to be conducted by MISI for the supply chain industry in the region.
Speaking at the signing ceremony Dr. Mahender Singh – Rector of MISI and Director of the MIT Global SCALE Network said “ The supply chain industry physical infrastructure in the region has developed rapidly in the last decade. MISI looks forward to working with IMT Dubai and supply chain industry professionals from the region to collaborate in research, training and development”.
Dr. Cedwyn Fernandes CEO of IMT Dubai said “ The partnership with MISI part of the MIT Global SCALE Network will provide an opportunity for our students, faculty and industry professionals to work with the best minds in the supply chain field. IMT Dubai’s strategy is to align itself with the leading institutions that will foster cutting edge research with a focus on regional issues”.
