Emphasis on IFRS based accounting and IFRS for SMEs

The IFRS for SMEs is a self-contained Standard of 230 pages, designed to meet the needs and capabilities of small and medium-sized entities (SMEs), which are estimated to account for over 95 per cent of all companies around the world. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) comprise around 60 per cent of the UAE’s nominal GDP and account for the lion’s share of private sector employment. The SME sector needs accounting graduates with expertise in IFRS for SMEs. IMT Dubai’s B.Com. program has special focus on SME sector accounting and financial reporting.
