Dr. Ali Zalzala holds a PhD in Control Engineering from University of Sheffield, UK, with an interdisciplinary career spanning academia, industry, and business in Europe, Americas, and Middle East. He is a Chartered Engineer (UK) and a Senior Member of the IEEE (USA) where he holds voluntary management positions. His research interests span both technology and management, with around 140 publications in refereed journals and conferences. Dr Zalzala is involved with several business startups including the charity Community Tracks specializing in health care technology solutions for developing countries.
