IT Infrastructure


IMT has a fully Wi-Fi Enabled campus with around 800 nodes connected with a backbone of fiber connectivity with multi layer, high end Cisco campus wide network. IMT has 6 enterprise level servers to support domain service, security and storage service.


Intranet


The entire IMT Campus is equipped with Wi-Fi networks. The institute provides 24×7 connectivity to each student at no additional charge. The server room is designed as per international standards. Faculty/Staff members are equipped with high end computers and printers. Faculty/Staff members, Students and Alumni are provided with official email accounts that are accessible anywhere. Computer Labs and Class rooms are fully equipped with projectors and latest teaching aids. IMT has video conferencing facility, advance level security solutions and enterprise level backup and storage solutions.


IMT Lab


The Computer Centre is accessible round-the-clock and is equipped with state-of-the art hardware and software. IMT is among the few institutes in UAE to have a campus agreement with Microsoft for their latest licensed software. The computer labs are equipped with top-of-the-line desktops. The computer centre has 40 workstations. These are used for teaching as well as common computing facilities.


Blackboard (Learning management software)


IMT uses Blackboard’s learning and teaching tools in order to foster more logical, visually impactful, and active learning opportunities for students, helping them stay connected to their educational experience 24 hours a day. The integration of the Blackboard Connect platform provides students the alerts and notifications they need to better manage academic priorities and course deadlines. Students can stay informed of vital course-specific updates and deadlines through the Blackboard Learn interface.


ARMS (Academic Records Management Software)


IMT uses Student Information Systems (ARMS) that allows students, faculty and administration to interact and communicate with each other online in terms of Scheduling, Registration, Examination, Fees, hence reducing the long queues at Office of Student Services and the Program Office.
