Because of its constant interaction with local companies, IMT-Dubai provides its
students with continuous input on which career options might best suit each individual’s
needs. Companies are also invited to the campus to present their profiles and opportunities.
In addition to the ongoing input, IMT-Dubai also provides outplacement counselling
during the third semester of the program, when students are starting to think of
their professional choices after graduation.
Companies are invited to IMT Dubai to hold pre-placement talks during the early
months of each year. These pre-placement talks are mutually beneficial. On one hand,
company executives visit the campus and brief the students about the company’s background,
strategic initiatives and values. They share details about the positions open, the
profiles sought, the selection process and naturally compensation information. On
the other hand, students are able to understand company operations and positioning
in a direct manner, with the possibility of putting questions to the executives
at hand. Interviews are then scheduled to suit the recruiters convenience.
